Amazon Adapting Image Comics' Invincible

Updated: Jul 7, 2018

Amazon Studios has ordered a series adaptation of Invincible, the Image comic series from Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead. Kirkman will also serve as executive producer.

Invincible is an epic superhero tale about a teenager whose father is the greatest superhero on Earth. The teen, Mark Grayson discovers that he has those same superpowers as well and must learn how to follow in his father’s footsteps.

The series will consist of eight hour-long episodes, but there’s potential for much more than that in future seasons if it continues. The comic series ran from 2002 until February of this year, so there are years of material to draw from.

Amazon has not yet announced a premiere date.
