Netflix Saving Comic TV Shows

Updated: Jul 1, 2018

Netflix is becoming quite the savior when it comes to rescuing comic book-based TV series that have been given the axe.

First, it picked up Locke and Key, which didn’t survive past the production of its pilot.

Now, the streaming service has rescued Lucifer from the depths of hell after it was cancelled by Fox after three seasons.

Yes, season 4 of Lucifer will air on Netflix. This is a very good move on the part of the Netflix. They’ll gain the rabid fan base that comes with the series and add to their impressive lineup of exclusive content.

Locke and Key hasn’t aired yet, but it fits in well with what Netflix is doing. The service has exclusive rights to produce many Millarworld properties, airs all the CW’s Arrowverse shows, and now adds Lucifer and Locke and Key.

Netflix is putting itself in a prime position to compete for the subscriptions of comic fans for a long time.
