Pennyworth Series Coming to Epix

First, there was Gotham as a prequel TV series about Bruce Wayne and his villains. Now Alfred is getting his own prequel series.

Epix has given a series order for Pennyworth, with the pilot being written by Bruno Heller. The series will take place in the 1960’s and document Alfred’s time as a British soldier and working for Batman’s father, Thomas Wayne.

Pennyworth will debut in 2019.
