SDCC: Loki

Loki is without a doubt the most popular Marvel Cinematic Universe villain to date. The God of Mischief has come a long way from the evil brother of Thor to misguided outcast to a hero at the very end, right before being killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.

In Avengers: Endgame we saw a different Loki. Or rather, Loki from a different time. The Avengers revisited the battle of New York, and of course that Loki vanished with the Space Stone. That scene will lead directly into the Loki series. It's important to remember that this is not the same reformed Loki that was murdered by Thanos. This Loki is still very much a villain.

The rumored premise of the show was that we would follow Loki throughout time and watch how he affected major events in history. That may or may not be what we get, but we're sure to be in store for some crazy shenanigans. This has to be a comedy. Maybe we'll even get a Thor cameo along the way.

We won't see him in the movies anymore, but at least we get more of the Trickster God, even if we do have to wait so long. Loki premieres on Disney+ in spring 2021.
