Spider-Man: Far From Home End Credits Change Everything

As good as Spider-Man: Far From Home was, the end credits scenes were incredible, and impactful for the MCU going forward.

Let's discuss the first. After taking MJ for a swing over the city, Peter drops her off and swings to the top of a building. We then see news alert featuring none other than JK Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson! What a clap out loud moment. For the first time, Marvel has brought back an actor in a role from a previous Marvel series. JK Simmons is such a perfect fit for the role that they brought the fan favorite back.

Even more consequential is that Simmons runs a clip from Mysterio, altered to show Peter attacking Mysterio and revealing Spider-Man's identity to be Peter Parker. It appears that when we see Peter next, he'll be a man on the run.

As for the second scene, this one is a doozy as well. It's revealed that Nick Fury and Maria Hill were Skrulls the entire time, portrayed by Talos and Soren. Meanwhile, Nick Fury is in space, seemingly working to form S.W.O.R.D. or something like it, and among his crew are more Skrulls.

Is this setting up a secret invasion storyline? Or is this just a fun Easter egg, given these Skrulls are friendly? Only time will tell. But it does indicate that Fury will be sticking around while, and we'll likely be seeing more of the Skrulls in roles like this. My guess is we will see some version of secret invasion. This wasn't done for no reason.

What do you think? How will Peter handle his identity being revealed? And will we see secret invasion?
